Bands we want to play

Despite the incredible power we have, there are some bands that we just have to gaze at from afar; no hope of ever putting them on. Either they're tiny bands from America, they've split up or they're dead... This is the first in an occasional series

Hunx & His Punx is Seff from Gravy Train with the remarkably talented Nobunny contributing songs (If you haven't heard Nobunny either, then you should be ashamed). Hunx seem to have distilled every great girl group record from the sixties, added Ramones to the mix and then recorded it all in about 5 minutes. And if you thought it couldn't get any better, Hunx & His Punx are the gayest band ever with the best videos we've seen for years...like some sort of low budget John Waters fairy story. Hunx have gathered a bunch of high profile supporters in Jay Reatard and Vivian Girls and although it's the laziest of comparisons, if you like them, you might like Hunx.
